Terms of Service
Last updated November 4, 2026
These terms cover your use of Ripe: the app, the website at ripe.watch, and any alerts, messages or emails Ripe sends you ("Ripe", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Ripe, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Ripe.
The short version: Ripe is a tool that helps you watch the market and test your own ideas. It is not a financial adviser, a broker, or a fiduciary. Nothing in Ripe is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. Every decision is yours, and so is the risk.
1. Ripe is not financial advice
Ripe provides market information, tools and general educational content only. In particular:
- No advice. Nothing in Ripe, including setups, alerts, backtests, pattern matches, charts, "evidence", news summaries, explanations of price moves, chat replies or suggestions, is investment, financial, tax, legal or accounting advice, or an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security or other asset.
- Not a registered adviser or broker. Ripe is not registered as an investment adviser, broker-dealer or financial planner with the SEC, FINRA or any other regulator, and does not act as one. We do not manage money, hold your funds or place trades.
- Not personalized. Even when Ripe uses your holdings, positions or past choices to tailor what it shows you, it does not know your full financial situation, goals, tax position or tolerance for risk, and its output is not a recommendation suited to you.
- Past results don't predict future results. Backtests, "how often this happened" counts, win rates and pattern matches describe the past, using historical data and simplifying assumptions (for example, no trading costs, taxes or slippage). They are hypothetical, were not achieved by any real account, and do not mean the same thing will happen again.
- AI can be wrong. Parts of Ripe are written by artificial intelligence, including chat replies, summaries and explanations of why a stock moved. They can be incomplete, out of date or simply wrong. Check anything important against the original sources.
- Data can be delayed or wrong. Prices, news, fundamentals and calendars come from third-party providers. Prices may be delayed (often by about 15 minutes), and any data may contain errors or gaps. Ripe does not guarantee that any information is accurate, complete or current.
- Alerts can be late or missed. Alerts depend on data feeds, our servers, your phone, your network and push-notification services. An alert may arrive late, more than once, or not at all. Don't rely on Ripe alone to manage risk or to act at a particular price; use your broker's own orders for that.
- You decide, you're responsible. You alone are responsible for your investment decisions and their results. Investing involves risk, including the loss of some or all of the money you invest. Consider talking to a licensed financial professional before you act.
Mentions of a company, stock, fund or other asset are for information only and are not endorsements.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to use Ripe. You sign in with your email (a one-time code) or with Google. Keep access to your email and Google account secure: anyone who can sign in as you can use your Ripe account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it.
3. Linked brokerage accounts
You can choose to link a brokerage account through our partner SnapTrade so Ripe can show your holdings and watch them. This access is read-only: Ripe cannot place trades, move money or change anything in your brokerage account, and we never see or store your brokerage password. You can unlink at any time. Your broker's own terms continue to apply to your brokerage account.
4. Using Ripe fairly
Please don't:
- copy, scrape, resell or redistribute Ripe's data, alerts or content, or use them to build a competing service (much of the market data is licensed to us for your personal use only);
- try to get around limits, access other people's accounts, or probe, overload or disrupt our systems;
- use Ripe for anything unlawful, including market manipulation or misleading others about a security;
- reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
Ripe is for your own personal, non-commercial use unless we agree otherwise in writing.
5. What you put in
You keep ownership of what you type or upload, such as chat messages, notes and the reasons you give for a setup. You allow us to store and process it to run Ripe for you and to improve it (see the Privacy Policy). Don't enter information you aren't allowed to share.
6. Text messages and emails
If you give us your phone number or email, we may send you messages about your account, your alerts and Ripe itself. You can opt out of non-essential messages at any time (for texts, reply STOP). Carrier message and data rates may apply.
7. Paid plans
Ripe is free while in early access. If we introduce paid plans, the price, billing period and cancellation terms will be shown to you before you pay, and those terms will form part of these terms.
8. Third-party services
Ripe relies on other companies for data, hosting, sign-in, messaging and brokerage links. We're not responsible for their services, and links to news articles or other websites are provided for convenience, not as endorsements.
9. Ripe's content
The app, website, software, designs and Ripe's own content belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you a personal, limited, non-transferable right to use Ripe; they don't transfer any ownership.
10. Changes and ending
Ripe is in active development, and features will change, appear and go away. We may update these terms; if a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and continuing to use Ripe means you accept it. You can stop using Ripe and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put Ripe or other users at risk.
11. No warranty
Ripe is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that Ripe will be uninterrupted, error-free or that any alert will be delivered.
12. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Ripe and the people behind it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any trading or investment losses, lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of Ripe or your reliance on anything in it, even if we were told such loss was possible. Our total liability for any claim relating to Ripe is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
13. Your responsibility to us
If you use Ripe in breach of these terms or the law and someone brings a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before bringing a formal claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.
